However, they caught the attention of the fans across the internet. Cardona’s wife, Chelsea Green, even shared the clip on X. Reacting to the video, the former WWE star commented during his appearance on the Notsam Wrestling Live podcast.

The former WWE star expressed his gratitude towards his fans. During the post-show of the Night of Champions, Triple H’s interview was filled with background chants. The fans were cheering for Matt Cardona. The chants were mainly in the hope of a possible return of the wrestler. In a recent appearance at the Notsam Wrestling Live, Cardona stated, “Well, first, people were just sending me the video (of fans at WWE Night of Champions chanting my name) with no context, and I’m at this loud wedding.”
Cardona further added, “I’m watching this video; it’s just Triple H talking. I’m like, ‘What is going on here?’ I went to the back. I went, ‘Ohhh! I see what they’re chanting.’
Listen, it’s great; I love it. I love that the fans still think about me, certainly that they’re still chanting for me, and you know me, Sam, I’ll take any publicity. I will run with it. This one, I didn’t necessarily overexpose.”

Cardona also discussed John Cena’s "pipebomb" name-drop and Cody Rhodes’ podcast. Cena’s Pipebomb was dropped on June 20. The wrestler mentioned several names, including Matt Cardona. Similarly, in Cody Rhodes’ podcast, Cardona’s name was referenced. Kevin Owen was the guest in that episode. Owen went on to claim Cardona as his favorite independent wrestler.Commenting on both incidents, Cardona stated, “I was kind of heavy on the (John) Cena, overexposing the ‘hey.’ Then Cody (Rhodes) and K.O. were, you know, I think they were half-burying me on their podcast.
