Fightful Select podcast, Sean Ross Sapp addressed the lingering mystery and provided a vital clue regarding Owens' contract status. Sapp admitted, "I haven't been explicitly informed that he signed a new contract, but it's safe to assume at this point."
Following months of conjecture regarding Owens' next course of action, this comment was made. Owens stated earlier this year that his current WWE contract will expire in early 2025. The former Universal Champion has kept his cards close to the vest despite reports of possible AEW interest.
Owens discussed WWE's forthcoming European Road to WrestleMania tour in a recent interview with the Daily Mail, but he sidestepped inquiries about his long-term goals.
