After defeating CM Punk at the
Elimination Chamber to finally become the winner, Cena got on the stage to greet his fans. Soon enough, Cody Rhodes made his way there with his Undisputed Championship belt in hand. But everything went up in the air when The Rock and Travis Scott entered the ring. The Rock asked Rhodes to become his champion and give him his soul, but the latter refused him, leading to where we are now.
Initially, John Cena looked happy to see The Rock getting refused by Rhodes, and the fans were overjoyed by his defiance. But when Cena turned heel in the blink of an eye and beat Rhodes mercilessly, everyone was more than just shocked; they were visibly disturbed. To have someone like Cena, who never once in his 25-year-long career go heel, become the villain in his last year in the business was not only unexpected but also unthinkable. It was something even the hardcore fans did not theorize. But well, here we are.
