John Cena names the three most important losses of his career

John Cena is a 16-time World Champion who has a plethora of achievements to his name. Winning title after title, he has been playing inside the ring since 1999. And now, after more than 25 years as a star of the show, he is ready to take a step back. In a recent interview for Collider, Cena looked back on his career and touched upon three losses that had the biggest impact on his career. During the interview, he said:

“There were times when I won a lot, and there were times when I lost a lot. I don’t necessarily think that is as impactful as it may seem. Whatever is best for the business and for the fans is exactly what I'll do.”

From losing against The Rock in Miami at WrestleMania 28 to the one during Kevin Owens’ debut at Elimination Chamber in 2015, and lastly, the one against Rob Van Dam at Hammerstein Ballroom at the ECW One Night Stand in 2006. These three losses turned out to be some of the biggest intersections in his career, and Cena is happy that they became such hits with fans that people still remember them.

John Cena explains why he had to lose

WWE is a world for storytellers, and John Cena is one of the best there is. Over the course of such an illustrious career, he had some of the best storylines in WWE history. And the three losses he mentioned were some of the best storylines there are.
