In 2017, Jinder Mahal became the World Champion after pinning Randy Orton. In a recent interview with MuscleManMalcolm, the 38-year-old talked about the incredible accomplishment and said that pinning the Viper was a great honor for him.
He said, “Every moment in my life flashed before my eyes and then, boom, all of a sudden I have the championship. It was a great feeling. It was a goal of mine as long as I can remember. I grew up watching Bret Hart, The Rock, Stone Cold Steve Austin, and Randy Orton – even when I was in high school when I was watching Randy Orton become champion. Mahal, however, was unable to hold onto his position in the main event scene for very long after losing the WWE Championship. He was eliminated in the 2024 Andre the Giant Battle Royal, which was his final appearance with the Stamford-based company. If Mahal ever gets a chance to rejoin the company, fans will have to wait and see.
