The Undertaker praises Monday Night Wars

Recently on the podcast "Six Feet Under with Mark Calaway," The Undertaker praised the Monday Night Wars, calling it one of the best things that ever happened to professional wrestling. The former World Champion said, "It was great. The best thing that ever happened to professional wrestling was the Monday Night Wars. It was probably us getting our asses handed to us that was the best thing that ever happened."

According to The Undertaker, the old school wrestling format was the best, and he praised WCW for bringing out the best in WWE. He believes that no other time has captured the same spark as the period from September 1995 to March 2001. "We now have to create our own competition, but when you have somebody that's a true competitor, man that's fun," he said.

The Undertaker participated in numerous memorable matches against other legendary competitors during the Monday Night Wars. He faced off against Kane, The Rock, Mankind, Triple H, and many others. This period is often regarded as the golden era of wrestling, offering countless unforgettable bouts. Wrestling fans still believe that WWE was at its peak during this time, with top-notch rivalries and hardcore matches.

About Monday Night Wars and WCW

“The Monday Night Wars was a significant period in mainstream American professional wrestling, spanning from September 4, 1995, to March 26, 2001. During this time, the World Wrestling Federation's (WWF; now WWE) Monday Night Raw (later Raw Is War) and World Championship Wrestling's Monday Nitro were broadcast simultaneously, competing for Nielsen ratings each week. This era largely overlapped with the Attitude Era, which the WWF described as "WWF Attitude" for its programming from November 9, 1997, to May 6, 2002.”
