Is Bad Bunny heading back to WWE after Super Bowl halftime as WrestleMania buzz grows with insider hints?
Bad Bunny is getting ready for one of the biggest weekends of his career, and it could lead him back to a WWE ring very soon. With his Super Bowl halftime performance coming up, a fresh report now says the global music star may return to WWE sooner than many fans expected. Bad Bunny, whose real name is Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio, has not wrestled since 2023. Still, his name is once again part of wrestling talks. According to a trusted voice in wrestling media, his return is not a long-term idea. It could happen in the near future.
This update comes just days before Bad Bunny headlines the Super Bowl XL halftime show. While his focus right now is music, the timing of his tour break has sparked strong talk about another WWE run. Fans have seen this path before. Each time Bad Bunny has stepped into WWE, it has led to real matches, not quick cameos.Earlier this week, the idea of Bad Bunny joining another wrestling company also picked up attention. But new information suggests WWE remains his destination.
The latest update came from Bryan Alvarez during a discussion on Wrestling Observer Live. Alvarez said Bad Bunny is expected back in WWE “sooner rather than later.” No exact date was shared, but the message was clear. WWE is already part of the plan.
This report followed a social media post from Ruben Gallego, who asked Tony Khan to bring Bad Bunny into All Elite Wrestling. Gallego wrote, “@TonyKhan it’s time for @AEW to solidify a huge fan base. @sanbenito love wrestling, need him to make some appearances. Just no stretcher match please.”
However, Alvarez’s report suggests AEW is not in the picture right now.
There is also a clear reason the timing makes sense. Bad Bunny’s Debí Tirar Más Fotos World Tour pauses from March 2 through late May. That window lines up with WrestleMania 42, which is set to take place in Las Vegas.
Bad Bunny already has a strong WWE history. He debuted at the 2021 Royal Rumble, where he performed “Booker T” with Booker T and later got physical in the match. He won the 24/7 Championship from R-Truth, appeared on Saturday Night Live with the title, and won at WrestleMania 37 alongside Damian Priest. His last match came at Backlash 2023 in Puerto Rico, where he defeated Priest in a street fight.
