WWE Hall of Famer Rey Mysterio, a legend in the wrestling world, has recently opened up about his retirement plans as he approaches his 50th birthday this December. Despite still performing at an exceptional level on WWE, Rey Mysterio acknowledges that his career is nearing its conclusion. Rey Mysterio revealed that the only thing left for him now is to plan a fitting farewell to his successful career.

Recently, Mysterio shared his retirement plans during an interview with Busted Open Radio at Fanatics Fest NYC. He discussed his final plans and said-
“I think what’s left is to be able to plan a nice sunset and be able to thank everyone that has followed and supported me throughout the years, and give them, when the time is right, a good farewell.
“Not something that’ll happen one time and then I come back and do it again. Maybe a farewell tour. Something that can mean something to me and everyone that will be there. Whether it’s every city, a country, ‘this is the last time we’ll be together,” (Via Busted Open Radio/Fightful)
Rey Mysterio expressed his desire for a meaningful farewell when he retires. Mysterio hopes to plan a special farewell tour, allowing him to thank and connect with his fans one last time in various cities and countries. Mysterio mentioned that he wants this goodbye to be genuine and final, creating lasting memories for both himself and his fans.
