What exactly might trigger Hogan's response, and how might it impact the film's release? With curiosity already brewing, fans are left wondering if the controversy will overshadow the movie’s debut and what potential legal battles could unfold.

Let’s dive into the reasons behind this potential legal battle

It’s now official, "Killing Gawker" is in the production with Ben Affleck which is set to portray Hulk Hogan. Produced by Affleck and Damon’s Artists Equity, the film will tackle the notorious Gawker trials, focusing on the scandal where the website released a tape of Hulk Hogan and Heather Clem.

The footage also captured Hogan using racist language, leading to his removal from the WWE Hall of Fame in 2015, though he was reinstated in 2018. Since the tape was released without his consent, the former WWE Champion took legal action, resulting in the notorious Gawker trial.

The trial wrapped up in 2016, with Hogan winning a $140 million lawsuit against the website, leading to the company’s bankruptcy. As per the recent reports, Hogan might return to court if he’s dissatisfied with how the new project portrays the events.

According to “TMZ”, Hogan is currently "indifferent" toward the project. However, if the film crosses any boundaries that infringe on his court-ordered privacy, the former wrestler “will not hesitate to pursue legal options … which he’s clearly done before.”

Adding more to it, the sources say Hogan “is in a really good place in his life right now,” highlighting his marriage to Sky Daily and his focus on spirituality. Moreover, Hogan has had no communication with Affleck or Damon regarding the project, with TMZ describing the situation as a “wait and see” for now.

Some reports suggest that "Killing Gawker" will be directed by Gus Van Sant, who is known for his Academy Award nominations for "Good Will Hunting" and "Milk."
