During his eight-year tenure in NJPW, he rose through the ranks and became the Strong Openweight Champion. Hikuleo was reportedly on WWE’s radar as early as last year, but a hiring freeze delayed his move. His contract with NJPW expired earlier this year, allowing him to sign with WWE in July.
