Mercedes Mone Discusses Her AEW Journey and Reveals Dream Matches with Top Rivals



The former WWE star, Mercedes Mone is more than happy to have been a part of AEW, the promotion she joined after she departed from WWE in 2023. In her recent appearance on “Beyond the Fame” with Jason Fraley, she expressed her enthusiasm about being part of AEW and the impact she feels she’s making within the company. Speaking about her productive time in AEW, she explained,

“AEW is where the best wrestling is, and I'm the best wrestler in the whole world. It's been so absolutely incredible being in AEW. I feel like to have a different opportunity to work with a lot of different people I've never worked with before excites me so much. I'm feeling nothing but amazing ever since I signed that dotted line with AEW... Professional wrestling, it's been the best it's ever been in the past ten years. So I am so happy to be a part of the company, making headways.”

Mone’s statement stems from her numerous achievements which include her winning the NJPW STRONG Women’s Championship on August 30 and the TBS Championship that retained on August 25. She further states her excitement to enter the ring with several noteworthy competitors like Toni Storm, Mariah, Thunder Rosa, Kris Statlander, and Jamie Hayter, to name a few. “The dreams are endless there at AEW. Because not only do I get the AEW roster, I get to face the Stardom roster, the CMLL roster. AEW's going global, so, any woman who wants to come after my championships, I'm always ready,” explained Mone regarding her readiness to take up challenges within more AEW events.
