Recently, a current popular superstar expressed his desire to face Stone Cold Steve Austin on the grandest stage of them all, WrestleMania. Former WWE Champion CM Punk has shared his wish to take on the Texas Rattlesnake at WrestleMania 41 in Las Vegas, confident in his ability to take down the legend.

During an appearance on "The Ringer Wrestling Show" at Fanatics Fest, Punk was asked about the possibility of facing Austin in Vegas. He responded, "That would be up to Steve. It's not up to me.” "I think he had a pretty good return, came back, main evented WrestleMania. At this point, his six shooters might be buried in the Nevada desert." Punk added, "If he wants to dig them up, I'm your huckleberry. It should've happened over a decade ago, but if he wants to make it happen now, he knows where to find me." After Punk's surprise return to WWE at last year's Survivor Series, reports surfaced that WWE was aiming to set up an Austin vs. Punk match for this year's WrestleMania. In the documentary WrestleMania 40: Behind the Curtain, it was disclosed that Triple H had originally planned a match between Seth Rollins and CM Punk for the WWE World Championship. However, those plans changed due to CM Punk's torn triceps injury during the men's Royal Rumble match.


Regarding CM Punk, he's currently involved in a storyline with Drew McIntyre. Recently, on Raw, Punk brutally attacked McIntyre with a belt, leading to speculation that the two might face off at the upcoming Bash in Berlin event. According to backstage reports, WWE is considering booking a Strap Match between CM Punk and Drew McIntyre. If this happens, it would be the second match in their ongoing rivalry. Their first encounter occurred at SummerSlam this year, where Drew McIntyre came out on top.
