Dominik Mysterio has been rapidly evolving in WWE since joining the Judgment Day faction in 2022. Surrounded by seasoned wrestling veterans like Finn Balor, Damian Priest, and Carlito, Mysterio is in a prime position to learn the ropes and refine his craft. Among his mentors, the 26-year-old WWE superstar credits Balor as the most influential member of the faction, even describing him as a “stepdad” figure within his wrestling journey.

The mentorship began long before Dominik’s official alliance with Judgment Day. In a recent interview with Bootleg Kev, Dominik shared how Balor has been a guiding influence since 2017, playing an instrumental role in shaping his wrestling persona. "It's honestly been so fun just being able to pick his brain and being in matches with him and him guiding me through certain things and just like seeing how he puts things together. It shows why he's one of the greatest of all time especially like in ring wise and like he's the man you know, I first met him in 2017 and ever since then he's kind of like been my stepdad," Dominik said.

Dominik’s rise in WWE has been fueled by Balor’s mentorship, both inside and outside the ring. Balor’s hands-on guidance in match structuring and in-ring psychology has allowed Dominik to gain a solid foundation as a performer. This relationship has not only strengthened Dominik's individual performance but has also made Judgment Day a more compelling faction.

Finn Balor himself has praised Dominik's growth and influence on Judgment Day, highlighting how the young wrestler has helped the faction garner increased fan attention and heat. Balor noted that Dominik’s presence has made Judgment Day even more believable as a heel faction, giving them an edge that appeals to audiences looking for a formidable group of villains in WWE. As one of the most despised factions, Judgment Day has benefited from Dominik’s ability to connect with fans, even if it’s in a provocative way that draws boos and reactions from the crowd.

Meanwhile, Balor’s impressive record as one-half of the WWE Tag Team Champions alongside JD McDonagh has solidified his status as a leader and respected figure in WWE. With nearly 150 days as champions, the duo has been a dominant force in the tag team division. However, despite their stronghold, they have not defended their titles since their September 16 victory over the New Day on WWE Raw, raising questions among fans about when they’ll next step into the ring to defend their titles.

As he continues to evolve in WWE, fans can expect Dominik to bring even more energy and intensity to his role, with Balor’s mentorship serving as a guiding force in his development as a WWE superstar.
