WWE fans have been over the moon since CM Punk’s epic return to the promotion in 2023, after spending almost a decade away from it. The former AEW World Champ currently performs for Raw and has recently commented on how grateful he is to be back in the company, mostly thanks to his amazing co-workers.

In a recent interview at the "The Masked Man Show," CM Punk got candid about his return to the promotion. He stated that one of the biggest reasons he is enjoying this comeback to WWE is because of working alongside a great roster of superstars.

“I don't think a roster has been as strong as it is”: CM Punk on the current roster

When asked about coming back to WWE as one of the biggest stars in wrestling at the moment, CM Punk stated that part of the reason he is so grateful to be back is sharing the stage with some amazing talents. He says, "I'm grateful because of the embarrassment of riches I'm surrounded with. I don't think a roster has been as strong as it is. Cody [Rhodes is] killing it. Jade [Cargill is] killing it. We have Damian Priest coming into his own. I'm going to get in trouble for forgetting to mention some certain people." (Transcription credit: Wrestling Inc.)

He further goes on to mention that the grand spectacle that fans are treated with cannot be attributed to only one persona, and that it is a collective effort that brings in the views. He says, “I just think all aspects instead of there just being one story or one person you're tuning in to see, it really feels like the main event is super crowded you know, and there's so many segments on every single television show that you're excited to wait and watch, see what happens.”

CM Punk recently locked horns with Drew McIntyre on August 3 at SummerSlam. However, the night would end in a defeat for him, following an unintentional interference from Seth Rollins, who served as the guest referee. Punk and McIntyre are now all set to face off against each other in a strap match at the upcoming Bash in Berlin on August 31.
