CM Punk and Seth Rollins had a massive brawl on Raw
It appears that CM Punk and Seth Rollins have always been ready to fight. When Punk returned to WWE after about a nine-year absence, Rollins was seen as frustrated and after a year of his return, The Visionary finally got his shot at the Best in the World. Punk kickstarted the Monday Night Raw episode of December 16 with a promo directed to Rollins.
“I’m feeling a little low. I’m in a bit of a bad mood. It’s because, two weeks ago, in this ring, face-to-face, I told Seth Rollins, after he told me that spends a lot of time thinking about me, I told him that I don’t about him at all. And over the course of the last two weeks, while every waking hour wasn’t spent thinking about Seth Rollins, my mind wanders back to him from time to time. It’s put me in a bad mood. I’m mad because Seth is right,” Punk shared during his promo on Raw.
Punk went on to mock Rollins, “And he’s going to tip toe out here, and clogs like the purple pie man from Porcupine Peak, dressed like Liberace, and no, for all of the sensitive people, calling him Liberace is not an insult, I happen to think that Liberace is cool as hell. The point I’m trying to make, Seth, if you want to interrupt me before I make it. Just because you wear Elton John sunglasses, it doesn’t make you Elton John. And just because you grew up idolizing me, putting on a pair of wrestling boots does not make you CM Punk.”
The Second City Saint then called out Rollins for a confrontation and The Architect did not take long to come down. Joining the mocking game, Rollins said that he needs a new perspective on Punk, “let me see. No, no, even from way out here, you’re still an a*shole.”
After a series of verbal spats, Rollins came down and had a massive brawl with Punk. A Punk and Rollins match has been long anticipated among fans. Following their brawl, WWE has confirmed that the duo, current nemesis, is set to fight in an important match at the highly anticipated Raw’s debut on Netflix on January 6. As they have a spot on the match card for the debut episode of the Red Brand, it would be interesting to see where their feud will lead next.
