NEW DELHI: Former WWE Universal Champion Brock Lesnar is being systematically removed from various aspects of WWE programming following his implication in a recent lawsuit against WWE Chairman Vince McMahon and the company itself.
Last month, the wrestling world eagerly anticipated Lesnar's return to WWE at the Royal Rumble, where he was expected to set the stage for his participation in matches at Elimination Chamber and WrestleMania 40. However, recent developments indicate a significant shift in Lesnar's relationship with the company.
The drastic change in circumstances can be traced back to a lawsuit filed by former WWE employee Janel Grant against Vince McMahon and WWE, implicating Lesnar. The legal turmoil has led to McMahon's resignation from both WWE and TKO, and Lesnar's future with the company now appears uncertain.
Notably, Lesnar's scheduled appearances in the coming month have been abruptly canceled. Beyond that, his presence has been expunged from WWE's mobile game, WWE SuperCard, and his likeness has been removed from the Forty Years of WrestleMania edition of WWE 2K24, signaling a concerted effort to distance the company from the decorated wrestler.
Adding to the erasure, fans discovered that Lesnar has been removed from the iconic "Then, Now, Forever" package, the introduction that precedes every WWE programming episode. The void left by Lesnar has been filled by SmackDown Superstar LA Knight.
