The former Bea Priestley, now called Blair Davenport, has spoken about the WWE release with a short but well-meaning message. The talented British wrestler is one of many superstars who were released over the weekend. She shared the word "Top Gaijin," which is used in Japan to refer to foreign wrestlers, on X (formerly Twitter).
This leads to speculation that she might be planning to return to STARDOM, the Japanese promotion where she had previously had a tremendous run. STARDOM's official account has also acknowledged her post, adding intrigue to what might be her next move.

All that WWE release brings speculation about Bea Priestley's future

Her now-is-now cryptic post might hint at her heading back into Japan where she had carved her name as one of the highest-level competitors. The Japanese gaijin is denoting foreign wrestlers and it was with this term that she was recording success as one of the most successful international stars on STARDOM. During her four years of spell with the promotion, she won multiple titles like the World of Stardom Championship, SWA World Championship, and Artist of Stardom Championship in the tag division. The official response of STARDOM to her post added speculations that there might be forthcoming reunification.
She had spent almost four years in WWE; this time started in 2021 when she joined "WWE NXT UK"; later transferred to "NXT," and finally ended up on the main roster after she got drafted as part of the 2024 WWE Draft. Yet, although it seemed like this confirmation had an added excitement with the transition to "WWE SmackDown," it was short-lived since she only had a few matches on the main roster. The last contest she had with WWE was in November at a triple-threat U.S. Title qualifier match.

More WWE superstars released alongside Bea Priestley

The weekend saw the release of other WWE talent aside from Blair Davenport. Also released by WWE are superstars Sonya Deville, Cedric Alexander, Karl Anderson, Luke Gallows, Giovanni Vinci, and the Authors of Pain. The latest releases are part of WWE's ongoing restructuring of its roster.

This news won't be a setback for Priestley necessarily. She has already built a good name for herself in Japan as well as outside of WWE in the wrestling world, and therefore, she is expected to garner major interest from all promotions worldwide. She can return to STARDOM to compete at the ultimate level and recover her lost glory in Japanese wrestling.

WWE leaving might start something new for Blair Davenport aka Bea Priestley

Blair Davenport may have hung up her wrestling boots a little earlier than she would've liked from WWE, but the chapter of her wrestling journey is far from done. Having tasted great success before in Japan and enjoying a pretty solid international following, many doors will be open for her. STARDOM could be an obvious option, with her accolades there. But there's always AEW and others of the many top independent promotions she could consider.
"Top Gaijin" has a trademark impact on it and virtually screams she is ready to fight again to claim her perch among the best international wrestlers. Whichever way it goes - be it with STARDOM or any other option - Bea Priestley's post-WWE career is bound to throw some interesting angles at those who will follow it closely.
