The spotlight falls on Dakota Kai, who has been on the shelf since May 2023 due to a torn ACL suffered during the WWE Women's Tag Team Championship match against Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez. While Kai continues her recovery, Bayley, alongside Damage CTRL faction members Asuka, IYO SKY, and Kairi Sane, is planning a dominant return for the Kiwi Superstar.
In a recent appearance on the Gabby AF podcast, Bayley outlined her ambitious plans for Dakota Kai upon her in-ring return. The former SmackDown Women's Champion expressed her desire for Kai to target the NXT Women's Championship, currently held by Lyra Valkyria.
Bayley believes that Valkyria's title could be the perfect conquest for Dakota Kai, especially after Valkyria's impressive run, which includes a victory over Becky Lynch to secure the NXT Women's Championship. The Irish star has since defended her title against formidable opponents like Xia Li and Blair Davenport.
"When Dakota Kai comes back we need to find her a title to go after maybe she can take the NXT Women's Title off of Lyra Valkyria. We want to be a faction full of champions," Bayley confidently stated.
