Artem Chigvintsev and Nikki Garcia’s domestic issues got a lot of attention since it was made public. About two months later, the former couple are seemingly done with the hassle and expenses of a legal fight as they are reportedly in a mutual agreement to move on. According to new reports, Chigvintsev and Garcia are officially divorced and the duo are set to focus on their son.
Artem Chigvintsev and Nikki Garcia are divorced now
Ending the long legal battle, Artem Chigvintsev and Nikki Garcia have reportedly settled their divorce terms. TMZ reported that earlier this month, Chigvintsev and Gracia attended mediation and finalized a divorce settlement. The report further states that the former couple chose to settle their divorce quickly to move forward, partly due to the rising legal costs and the emotional toll the process was taking on both of them.
Although the duo are on the best terms right now, they are making an effort to cooperate as they continue to work on their relationship. "Nikki’s number one priority has always been her son and privacy on the matter. She is thankful for all of the love and support she has received during this difficult time," a representative of Garcia told the outlet.
“Nikki and Artem have settled their divorce and will not be going to court," a representative of Garcia confirmed in a November 20 statement to E! News.
While the terms of the settlement are unclear, previously, a judge has already ruled that Artem and Nikki will share custody of their 4-year-old son, Matteo.
The separation of The Dancing With the Stars pro and the Total Bellas star got quite the attention. Garcia, who has been a WWE diva under her ring name Nikki Bella enjoyed immense popularity.
Two months ago, the 42-year-old, was arrested on suspicion of felony domestic violence after an incident at the Northern California home he shared with Nikki on August 29. However, local prosecutors later decided to drop the charge. Speaking to E! News in September, Artem expressed his relief, saying he was "incredibly relieved and grateful" to put the legal ordeal behind him.
