Injured WWE superstar AJ Styles has provided information about his ankle injury, which has caused some concern among his fans. After returning to SmackDown a couple of weeks ago, Styles injured himself during his match against Carmelo Hayes. It was revealed later that Styles had an injury in his ankle, leading to him walking off in pain.

On his return to the “Blue Brand” two weeks ago, after a hiatus of several months, AJ Styles unfortunately had to take another break from WWE. As soon as he returned, Carmelo Hayes interrupted his address to the audience, and mocked him. This led to a one-on-one match between the two. During the match, Styles suffered an injury to the ankle and had to walk off the match. This gave the victory to Carmelo Hayes, which also meant that he received a chance to fight for the United States Championship against LA Knight, the following week. Now, Styles has provided an update on his ankle injury, which might be a little concerning for the diehard fans of the “Phenomenal One”.

“It’s called a Lisfranc injury. Look it up, It sucks! I thought when I took off my boot. I would have a bone sticking out of my foot” wrote AJ in his tweet, informing about the seriousness of his ankle injury. He further explained the whole situation in one word, claiming it to be “cooked”. Styles is a two time WWE Champion and is a Pro Wrestling Legend, having made his name in TNA, NJPW and finally in WWE. He is one of the rare breed of superstars who have won World Championships in all these wrestling promotions. Regarded as the most gifted in-ring performer of the millennium by many, Styles has a cult following and all his fans must be praying for him to come back and have that one last dance of his career. Since Styles has stated so many times about him nearing his retirement, time is running out for the champion wrestler.
