Although some people thought the injury was part of a plot, it was later determined to be a real mid-foot ligament sprain, and Styles says it's taking a long time to heal.

In October, Styles announced on Twitter that he had sustained a Lisfranc injury. Styles responded to fans who couldn't believe it by saying, "Look it up, it sucks! I assumed I would have a bone protruding from my foot when I removed my boot. When a fan pointed out that NFL player Cam Newton missed time due to a similar injury in 2016, Styles responded, "Bingo, as the kids say….I'm cooked!"

Months later, Styles has updated her fans on Twitter once more. Styles responded simply when someone inquired about his recovery and when he would return to the ring:


He said, “I’ll be honest, this injury is challenging.” As he works on his recovery, Styles has also been active on Instagram, posting videos of his cold water therapy.
