All Elite Wrestling (AEW) has recently confirmed that their Halloween special event Fright Night Dynamite is on the cards. The promotion has dropped the official date, confirming that it will be held on Wednesday, October 30, 2024. The event will air live on TBS, from the Wolstein Center in Cleveland in Ohio

The announcement came on the October 16 episode of Dynamite, when AEW confirmed that a special Halloween edition of Dynamite is on the horizon. The first match of the event has also been confirmed, which will be between Shelton Benjamin and Swerve Strickland.

The Hurt Syndicate member Shelton Benjamin recently joined AEW and made his debut at the the fifth anniversary episode of Dynamite. He was introduced by his former Hurt Business member MVP, and announced themselves to be business partners. Benjamin soon made his in-ring debut in AEW at the October 16 episode of Dynamite. He claimed the victory after defeating Lio Rush.

Benjamin’s fellow The Hurt Syndicate partner MVP went on to challenge Swerve Strickland, to face Benjamin in a fight. The former AEW World Champion accepted without hesitation. It was then confirmed that the two grapplers will lock horns at the upcoming October 30 Halloween special Fright Night Dynamite. No other match for the event has been confirmed yet. It is speculated that AEW will drop the schedule soon.

Meanwhile, AEW has filed for two new trademarks on October 15, 2024, USPTO (the United States Patent and Trademark Office). It is for the names of their new shows "Fright Night Dynamite" and "AEW: Fright Night Dynamite." It is filed under "Entertainment in the nature of wrestling contests, entertainment services in the nature of live professional wrestling performances." As of writing, there has been no update whether the application has been accepted or not.
