Tracing the complicated relationship of Vince and Linda McMahon after 5 decades of marriage

Vince McMahon has been in the spotlight with the release of his latest docu-series Mr McMahon that follows his rise and downfall. Today we are digging deep into his marriage with Linda McMahon. Vince and Linda tied the knot back in 1966, when she was only 17 years old and he was 21. Later in 1970, they gave birth to their son Shane and in 1976, their daughter Stephanie was born.

The couple that put WWE on the map are however estranged now. Commenting on the same, Dave Meltzer shared on his podcast, "Technically they’re married. I mean, they haven’t been together in a long, long time though.” A source also told The Enquirer, "Linda has put up with too much for too long. This is just the latest of Vince's many indiscretions but now she has to bear the humiliation of the world knowing her husband is allegedly paying off the women he beds."


Vince McMahon failed to be discreet with his extramarital affairs

The couple was deeply involved with WWE both behind and in front of the camera. One of the most awkward moments on television consisted of a time when Vince McMahon shared a passionate kiss with Trish Stratus while Linda sat in a comatose state watching them. Later in 2003, Linda filmed a kissing scene with Eric Bishoff. Their adultery on television soon caught up with their personal lives.


On multiple occasions, Vince has been caught bragging about cheating on his wife, Linda. He told Playboy Magazine, "I never, ever threw anything in her face. I was discreet." However, he was not as discreet as he believed, which pushed Stephanie into making a public comment. In 2002, their daughter Stephanie McMahon told Howard Stern in an interview, "It still is a little like, 'Dad, you know, okay, everybody knows now. You don't have to rub it in."

To top it all, they have also faced financial struggles and filed for bankruptcy in 1976 after raking up $1 million in debt. It has been reported that Linda has been seeking to file for divorce, however it has not been confirmed as of yet.
