John Cena fans are rejoicing as it was recently announced that the much loved wrestler will be making an appearance in the popular TV series, The Simpsons. The latest season of ‘The Simpsons’, season 36 is set to release soon. The producers of the show recently announced that the latest season will star John Cena in the episode, ‘Bart’s Birthday’. The writer of the show, Conan O’Brien will also be returning to mark a major guest appearance.
Variety recently shared that producers of The Simpsons attended San Diego Comic Con and revealed interesting details about the latest season. Other than John Cena, the guest appearances that we are looking forward to include Danny DeVito and Tom Hanks. Other than the 16 time World Champion, Bret Hart is the only other wrestler who has been featured in the iconic show.
Commenting on the latest season, the showrunner Matt Selman who accompanied the producer announced, “It’s kind of crazy, star-studded premiere. It’s a pretty bold, big idea.”
Taking a look at the career that John Cena has built as an actor The show is estimated to air shortly after his WWE Farewell Tour during which he is scheduled to perform about 30 to 40 shows. This comes after he made headlines back on July 6th and announced that he will be retiring next year in 2025.
It has been predicted that as the wrestler is set to retire next year, his attention will be focused on the ring. Due to this, his Hollywood career might take a backseat. However, he has already made his mark as an actor with multiple hit movies to his credit. The Fast and Furious franchise, The Suicide Squad and the Peacemaker TV series are projects that helped him earn recognition. Additionally, he worked in the movie Argyle and Ricky Stanicky that released earlier this year and performed well. It is safe to say that he is only getting started as an actor.
John Cena recently visited India to attend the much talked about wedding of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant. To grace the occasion he donned Indian attire and was seen in a pastel blue kurta. This wasn’t however the first time that Cena visited India. Back in 2006, he had visited the country and received a big welcome with a huge crowd that gathered to see him.
