Umpire Nandan set for international debut
Bengaluru: Karnataka’s CK Nandan is all set to make his international debut as an umpire when he officiates in the second Twenty20 match between India and the visiting South Africa in Cuttack on October 5.
Apart from his T20 appearance, the former Karnataka wicketkeeper-batsman will also serve as a TV umpire during the two ODIs at Indore and Rajkot and the fourth Test match against the Proteas in New Delhi.

“I’m extremely happy and to be able to make it to the international panel will inspire me further,” said Nandan.
Nandan, who has officiated in over 60 domestic first-class matches in India and nearly 30 IPL matches, is the fourth Indian to be inducted into the ICC International panel of umpires this year. The other three in the panel are Chettithody Shamshuddin of Hyderabad, Vineet Kulkarni of Pune and Anil Choudhary of Delhi.
Nandan, who works as a senior manager at HAL’s aircraft division here, has officiated in county matches in England and domestic matches in South Africa as part of BCCI’s umpires exchange programme earlier this year.
