TOISA 2025: Samrat Rana, Sumit Antil, Sheetal Devi named Sportspersons of the Year

TOISA 2025 brought together India’s sporting elite in Lucknow, celebrating excellence across more than 45 categories and highlighting a year of remarkable achievements. Smriti Mandhana and Samrat Rana headlined the honours as Sportspersons of the Year, while para icons Sheetal Devi and Sumit Antil showcased India’s growing strength on the global stage.Team success was reflected in the Indian women’s cricket side’s recognition, while the Board of Control for Cricket in India was named Federation of the Year. Emerging star Divya Deshmukh signalled the future, and Leander Paes was honoured as Mentor of the Year.Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath stressed the importance of grassroots development and expanding sports infrastructure, outlining a long-term vision for nurturing talent.Among other winners, Shubman Gill and Deepti Sharma were named Cricketers of the Year, while Neeraj Chopra featured among track and field honourees. Lifetime Achievement awards for Mithali Raj and P. R. Sreejesh highlighted the evening’s blend of legacy and forward-looking ambition, underlining Indian sport’s continued rise.
