) announced on Saturday, its plans to launch a 'Vision 2020 programme', after experiencing overwhelming success with the previous 'Vision 2010 programme'.

The Vision 2020 programme will comprise 111 players from different categories under their jurisdiction. About 53 girls and 48 boys will benefit from a variety of new initiatives including players analytics, guidance, healthcare, footwear, injury prevention, parental sensitization and grooming programs so as to transition them to better sportspersons.

"We have now set aside a corpus of Rs one crore with which we will support two or three seniors based on their performance. Once they start earning from the game more than they are spending, they would have to repay us from the prize money they get," informed MSLTA secretary

MSLTA also announced several new initiatives such as innovative tennis leagues at the grassroots level so as to promote the game amongst upcoming talent, such as the under-14 and under-10 age groups.

MSLTA will also look to venture into crowdfunding once they have a concrete plan ready in order to finance future endeavours. As of now, they are capable to financing themselves, along with help from sponsors.
