proved their authority and won the girls' and boys under-14 crown respectively in
AITA Championship Series
tournament recently concluded recently.
Being played at the
Ahmedabad City Tennis Foundation
courts, second seed Divya defeated Vidhi Jani 6-4, 6-3 to take the crown.
In earlier rounds, Divya blanked Vaidehi Patel 6-0 in pre-quarters before overcoming Mahi Panchal 9-5 in the quarter-finals.
In the semis, Divya had an easy outing against Siddhi Khandelwal beating her 9-2 to book her final berth.
Meanwhile in the boys' section, top-seed Mohit breezed past Dhanya Shah 6-1, 6-2 in the lop-sided final match.
In earlier rounds, Mohit beat Dhruv Hirpara 6-1in the second round before easing past Krish Trivedi by a similar margin in the pre-quarters.
In the quarters, Mohit blanked Ravi Rahul 9-0 before beating Chetan Gadiyar 9-1in the semis.
