NEW DELHI: Neel Jani, India and Switzerland's joint motorsport pride, has recently had his head buried deep between his commitments to racing and those to Red Bull Racing.
Neel, as part of his long standing relationship with Red Bull, has aided in simulator testing for the team that is currently running at the top, alongside F1 teams of McLaren and Ferrari.

Recently Neel was involved in the simulator work for the team to help find the perfect set up during the Australian Grand Prix. Interestingly, Sebastian Vettel and Mark Webber both managed to qualify P1 and P2 at 1:23.919 and 1:24.035 seconds respectively.
Neel has been appointed by RBR for some aero testing this time for the team, prior to the Barcelona race, as F1 moves to its European shores. This testing is expected to begin next week, just before the Spanish GP kicks off.
All this practice in 2010 with one of the leading F1 teams for this season will only help as the 2011 Season heads toward India's maiden F1 race and Neel keeps his dream of F1 still in tact.
Simultaneously, Neel has been signed on to race for the Rebellion Racing team in this years Le Mans Series and the world famous Le Mans 24 Hours. The 26 year old Swiss-Indian racer will team up with Nico Prost and Marco Andretti. Last weekend Neel was in action for the Rebellion Racing team at the season opening Paul Ricard 8 Hours race.
Some excerpts from Neel's commentary on the race: "The big shame was the problem we had in the first 40 minutes with the broken suspension and the puncture. This just destroyed our race and I'm sure cost us a podium finish. We are investigating what happened with the incident. The team did a brilliant job to get us back out in to the race once again and we had very good pace, especially since we could compare it to car #13 Lola-Rebellion that finished third on the podium.
They had a great performance, which was brilliant for the team, but we were up there and a bit quicker than them early on and we could have fought for a podium definitely. We eventually finished 7th in LMP1 so at least we got some points in what was a good recovery drive.”
