NEW DELHI: The Federation of Motor Sports Clubs of India (FMSCI) on Thursday confirmed the postponement of Round 4 of the FMSCI India National Rally Championship (INRC) to be held Bangalore, Karnataka. The K-1000, India's oldest running rally, will be postponed to November 8-10, 2013 due to operational reasons.
The rally, which has been running for 38 years, was supposed to be held on September 21-22.
The K-1000, which is organized by the Karnataka Motor Sports Club (KMSC),
FMSCI president Vicky Chandhok commented, "This is unfortunate that we have to postpone the Rally. The INRC has had a fantastic first half and we want to continue in the same vein. The KMSC is committed to putting on a good show and we have all the confidence that the magic of the K-1000 will continue this year."
KMSC president Bharath Raj commented, "Due to operational reasons we have had to postpone the K-1000. We have already informed all participants and they have been very supportive."
The 5th and final round of the 2013 FMSCI-INRC will be held in Chikmagalur on November 29 - December 1.
