Indian contender CS Santosh of Hero MotoSports Team was placed with four hour, three minutes and 30 seconds. His two other team members --Paulo Goncalves and Sebastian Buhler fared better with times of 3:29:50 and 3:54:46. The other Hero racer Joaquim Rodrigues could not finish.

Later, Santosh said: “I was really excited to see what the Saudi terrains have to offer today. It was a really fast stage and had some technical sections as well with stones. I put together a good starting stage until after a tricky stony section where I had a crash and hurt my hand a bit.”
