VIVO Pro Kabaddi: Gujarat have it easy vs Delhi

HYDERABAD: Garjega Gujarat (Gujarat will roar)' was skipper Sukesh Hegde's prediction ahead of their debut match against Dabang Delhi, and on Tuesday evening, Gujarat Fortune Giants lived up to their skipper's word as they made a smashing debut in the VIVO Pro Kabaddi. In the second clash, UP Yoddha routed home team Telugu Titans 31-18.
The Giants brooked no challenge and eased to a comfortable 26-20 win over Dabang to get their campaign in Season 5 of the tournament to a rousing start.The Gujarat outfit stole the show with their all-round performance which floored their rivals. The sustained pressure maintained by the Giants created mayhem in the Dabang ranks.
Surprisingly, it was Dabang who were under pressure right from the word go. Skipper Meraj Sheykh was trapped by the Giants as early as the second minute of the game and that set the tone for the rest of the game. The Giants went from strength to strength thereafter.
