NEW DELHI: India secured two medals each - a silver and a bronze - in both the men's high jump T63 and javelin throw F46 events, as all five of the country’s podium finishes on Tuesday at the Paralympics came from para-athletics.
In the men's high jump T63, Sharad Kumar claimed silver, while Mariyappan Thangavelu took bronze. Meanwhile, in the javelin throw F46 final, Ajeet Singh won silver, and Sundar Singh Gurjar secured bronze.
Avani Lekhara finished off at 5th place, with a total score of 420.6, after shooting 9.3 in the second single shot Standing Elimination Stage in the Women's 50m Rifle 3 Positions SH1 final.
Avani had previously won bronze in the same event in Tokyo Paralympics.
