The SL3 category accommodates players with moderate movement impairments affecting one side of the body, both legs, or featuring limb absences. Competitors play on a half-width court, with restricted movement but full shot capabilities.

Meanwhile, Kathuniya claimed the silver medal in the Men's Discus Throw - F56 event, recording his season's best throw.

Kathuniya threw 42.22 meters to secure the silver, coming in behind Brazil's Claudiney Batista dos Santos, who won gold with a Paralympic record throw of 46.86 meters. The bronze was taken by Greece's Konstantinos Tzounis, who had his best throw at 41.32 meters.

Kathuniya achieved his silver-winning throw on his first attempt and made subsequent throws of 41.50 meters, 41.55 meters, 40.33 meters, 40.89 meters, and 39.68 meters.
