NEW DELHI: World No. 13 recurve archer Michelle Kroppen from Germany is set to face off against former World No. 1 archer Deepika Kumari from India in the Round of 16 at the Paris Olympics 2024 on Saturday, August 3. Kroppen recently secured a silver medal in the mixed team event, despite a 0-6 loss to South Korea in the final. In the ranking round, Kroppen finished seventh with a season-best score of 670, while Deepika Kumari placed 23rd with a score of 658. However, Kroppen's career-best throw stands at 680, compared to Deepika's 686.Notably, Michelle Kroppen played a crucial role in the German women's team's bronze medal victory at the Tokyo Olympics in 2021.
