NEW DELHI: Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami met Indian badminton player Lakshya Sen on Sunday to commend his performance at the Paris Olympics.
Sen, 23, originally from Almora district, reached the semi-finals in the badminton men's singles event but lost to Malaysia's Lee Zii Jia in the bronze play-off, missing out on a medal.
The meeting took place at Dhami's residence, attended by Sen's parents, Nirmala Sen and D K Sen.
Dhami wished Sen success in his future competitions and encouraged him to play with full dedication.
Dhami also assured that the state government and the people of the state are with him.
