NEW DELHI: On the ninth day of the Paris Olympics, India have a lot of key matches. The Indian men's hockey team defeated Great Britain 4-2 in a penalty shoot-out to enter the semi-finals. But it was heartbreak for boxer Lovlina Borgohain, losing 1-4 to top seed Li Qian in the quarter-final. Lakshya Sen lost his semi-final match against defending champion Viktor Axelsen of Denmark.

Golf

12:30 PM: Shubhankar Sharma and Gaganjeet Bhullar finish Tied-40 and Tied-45 respectively in the Men's Individual Stroke Play

Shooting

12:30 PM: Vijayveer Sidhu is at 5th with a score of 293 (14X) and Anish (293; 11X) 7th after 25m Rapid Fire Pistol Men's Qualification-Stage 1

Sailing

3:35 PM: Vishnu Saravanan is currently in 18th position after completion of 8 races with 114 net points. He had a 7th place finish in Race 7 and 24th place finish in Race 8 of Men's Dinghy.Shooting

4:30 PM: Vijayveer Sidhu and Anish Bhanwala fail to qualify for the final in the Men's 25m Rapid Fire Pistol event. Sidhu and Bhanwala finish at 9th and 13th place respectively in the qualification round.

Sailing

6:05 PM: Nethra Kumanan is currently in 25th spot after completion of 8 races with 145 net points. She had a 21st place finish in Race 7 and 31st place finish in Race 8 of Women's Dinghy.
