Batting legend VVS Laxman's 49th birthday celebrations on Wednesday witnessed a cake-smear party, which has now become a ritual with Team India players. And leading the credits for that was wicketkeeper-batter Rishabh Pant.
In a video posted by Pant on 'X', Laxman could be seen putting a little cream on Pant's face, after which Pant cut a big chunk out of the cake and smeared it on Laxman's face.
Pant is currently out of the Indian team as he is recuperating from injuries suffered in a car acident.
VVS Laxman retired from international cricket in 2012 and is currently the head of National Cricket Academy in Bengaluru, besides filling in as India coach intermittently.
His last assignment as the coach of the Indian team was during the recently concluded Asian Games in Hangzhou, China, where India won a gold medal.
