NAGPUR: While the whole world is going through a gloomy phase, the Fazal family received a happy news on Thursday. Vidarbha skipper
Faiz Fazal and his wife Tarana were blessed with a son early morning.
While he would have loved to be in action for Lisburn Cricket Club (LCC) in the Northern Cricket Union Premier League in Ireland, Faiz won't mind this forced break.
The Club has issued a statement to announce postponement of all the activities because of Covid-19 virus. "It goes without saying that all LCC activities, whether it be senior or youth practice, fund-raising and social events have been cancelled or postponed," the LCC statement said.
"We have been in regular contact with Faiz and Josh (South African professional) over the past few weeks. The good news is that both of them and their families are safe and doing well," it added.
LCC skipper
Adam Berry is also in touch with Faiz. "At this time the primary concern of myself and all at the club is the health and well-being of members. I have been in regular contact with Faiz and he is in good spirits. It goes without saying I hope he, Tarana and family are all safe and well. We hope to welcome them all back to Lisburn later in the summer," Berry told TOI.
Faiz had a great last season with Lisburn Club. The southpaw then extended his contract with LCC last year. Faiz had scored 608 runs at an average of 55.27 with the help three hundreds and three fifties in 12 innings in the last season.
