MUMBAI: At a time when Delhi has been severely hit by the second wave of Covid-19, people from all walks of life have come together to help humanity.
One of those who have put their hand up to help people in this distressing time is former Delhi leg-spinner Chetanya Nanda. The 42-year-old, in partnership with an individual named Neeraj Nangia, is providing free meals, including lunch and dinner, to covid patients, at their doorstep through his restaurant Chik Chow.

In a situation like this, getting something as basic as food becomes tough, especially for those people who stay alone and are infected. Nanda's restaurant is providing meals to those located within a radius of five kilometres of its location in C Block Market in New Friends Colony. The meal includes rotis (as per the number a patient would ask for), dal and mixed vegetables. He began this initiative around ten days ago.
"Life's most persistent and urgent question right now in this pandemic is 'what am I doing for others?' For me, there is no higher religion than human service, and service to humanity is service to God," Nanda told TOI on Saturday. "We aren't asking for a covid report before serving people. This initiative is on trust basis," he said.
