Meanwhile, according to NHL Insider David Pagnotta, the Jets are expected to be aggressive with big trade moves and roster changes. Speaking on The Sheet, Pagnotta suggested that the Jets could take “some big swings” to strengthen its second line, an area that has lagged the top unit to carry much of the offensive load this season.

He further suggested that the Jets still have the flexibility, though that figure will shrink after new deals for Perfetti and Rosen are finalized. Despite that, the organization is expected to retain enough room to pursue meaningful upgrades.
