Johnny Gaudreau, the star player in the National Hockey League, was on his way to make history in the league when his life was tragically cut short due to an accident. He left behind a wife and children and also his best friends. One of them is the Columbus Blue Jackets’ Sean Monahan, who mourns the passing of Johnny Gaudreau. Recently, Johnny Gaudreau’s wife, Meredith Gaudreau, made a post that reinstated the love the two hockey players had for each other.

Johnny Gaudreau’s wife, Meredith Gaudreau, took to her Instagram to share a post about Columbus Blue Jackets’ alternate captain, Zach Werenski, who recently appeared on the podcast “What Chaos”. In the clip, Zach Werenski spoke highly about Sean Monahan’s talent and skill. Johnny Gaudreau’s wife, Meredith Gaudreau, shared the post on her account and added the words “I agree” to it, showing how close the two families are.
In the video clip, Columbus Blue Jackets’ alternate captain Zach Werenski says, “I think the best part about Monty (Sean) too right now is we have a lot of young guys, a lot of young centers, and there's no better guy to look up to than Monty”.
Zach also added that it is Sean Monahan’s calm demeanour that gets him noticed. He also added that Sean is always the last one to leave the room and the first one to be there, which speaks volumes about his professionalism.
Columbus Blue Jackets’ alternate captain, Zach Werenski, also recalled an emotional anecdote about Sean Monahan when he saw him at the vigil that was held for Johnny Gaudreau. Zack Werenski spoke about how it must have been the “hardest thing” for Sean Monahan to deal with the death of his best friend and adjust to a new team. He added, “He's just been incredible for us. So yeah, I can't say enough good things about him”.
Last year when Johnny Gaudreau passed away due to a tragic incident, Sean Monahan had opened up about his death and said, "I'll miss him the rest of my life,"
