Sam Steel, one of the most talented and popular players in the National Hockey League, has had a pretty start to 2025 with a new deal from the Dallas Stars. The contract is worth a whopping $4.2 million and is a two year deal with the team. This is a huge increase from the last time he signed with the Dallas Stars in 2023 for only $800,000 and in 2024 for $1.2 million.

Sam Steel’s Contract Extension With The Dallas Stars Has Fans Excited About His Raise





Jim Nill, the general manager of one of the strongest teams in the NHL, the Dallas Stars, said, "We are thrilled to extend Sam for the next two years. His versatility on both ends of the ice have proven to be a huge asset for our team. He is a player that we can count on to make a positive impact and do the little things that lead to wins.”


The news of Sam Steel signing with the Dallas Stars has also made fans happy as many felt that the Dallas Stars might have traded him for the 2025 season of NHL.

Fans are also pretty happy about the raise that the star player has gotten and how much he deserved it. A fan wrote, “A very much deserved raise”, while another fan wrote, “Absolutely deserved!!!!!! One of the hardest working guys out there every single shift. Congrats, Steel!”


Sam Steel has been regarded as one of the most talented players of the current lot. The 27 year old began his career in National Hockey League, back in 2016 when the Anaheim Ducks picked him in the 2016 NHL entry draft.


While Sam Steel played pretty well for the Anaheim Ducks and even became the youngest player in the team’s history to score a hat-trick in the regular season, he did not end up with a qualifying offer in 2022 when his contract ended with the team.


He later signed with the Minnesota Wild for a one year contract and by 2023, he had joined the Dallas Stars where he recorded a pretty impressive performance.
