The Cincinnati Bengals' 2024 campaign was a rollercoaster ride of frustration and disappointment. With Joe Burrow and Ja'Marr Chase producing great shows throughout all 17 games, the defense's inability to stifle other teams' offenses ultimately hurt the Bengals.

With the inability to stop opposing offenses, the Bengals finished at 9-8 and just missed the playoffs. In the meantime, WWE Monday Night Raw stopped in Cincinnati, where Logan Paul was the ideal heel, taking a perfectly aimed jab at the city to get the crowd riled up.

Logan Paul mocked Cincinnati Bengals’ struggles

Logan Paul is never one to keep things classy, and now he had Cincinnati Bengals fans in his crosshairs. At WWE Raw, the internet superstar-turned-wrestler got his hands on a microphone and spewed a brutal zinger that took no time to get all sorts of crazy attention online. "You guys waste talent, look what you did to Joe Burrow," Paul said, referencing Bengals' franchise quarterback, Joe Burrow.

The crowd erupted in boos as Paul had no problem taunting the hometown fans. With millions tuning in, his remarks quickly sparked buzz among both WWE and NFL audiences. Paul has a history of using WWE as a stage to take jabs at local sports teams, fully embracing his role as a villain in the wrestling world. His knack for stirring controversy with off-the-cuff remarks has only added to his appeal as a major attraction.

His latest dig at the Bengals comes at a time of mounting frustration for Cincinnati fans. Once seen as Super Bowl contenders, the team struggled following Joe Burrow’s season-ending wrist injury. While Burrow remains the franchise’s centerpiece, some critics believe the organization hasn’t done enough to construct a true championship-caliber roster around him.

The Bengals have typically been accused of not keeping star talent or allowing core players to leave when contract negotiations come about. Yet that has not been the situation with Joe Burrow. The 2025 offseason is now among the most important in the history of the franchise, though. With a new coaching staff on defense already assembled, the team must make big decisions as Ja'Marr Chase and Tee Higgins look for new deals.

Chase should sign the largest contract in history for a non-quarterback, and Higgins is reportedly going to be franchised by the Bengals for the second year in a row. They must retain their foundation players, and Burrow has indicated that he desires his best options to be rewarded. Now, it's in the front office in Cincinnati to deliver.

Up to now, they've been able to keep Burrow's prime from being wasted, but if the team keeps missing the playoffs, that story can shift very fast.
