Former New York Giants CB Sam Beal has been missing for nearly seven months, and people close to him say the silence has become unbearable. Recently, Beal’s big sister, Essence Zhane, made a public plea for help as the search for her little brother continues with no answer. Her message reflects fear, exhaustion, and excruciating pain, all at once.

Beal, who last played in the NFL in 2019, suddenly disappeared in July 2025, without informing anybody. Since then, his family says they have been chasing every possible lead. But all attempts went in vain.

Zhane, big sis of the Beal, shared a message on social media on January 12, 2026, about her little brother. She wrote, “Tomorrow makes it 7 months since we’ve last heard from or seen my brother,” she said in the post. “We’ve done everything we could on our end to piece things together, and at this point, we’re in desperate need of support on all ends.”

She continued in the same social media post, illustrating the emotional toll. “I’m not here to answer a bunch of whys and how’s. I just need this to land in the right direction to gain some form of answers or closure. I’m a big sister, and I need my brother to know that we love you and miss you, and this has been a heavy feeling for months to carry around.”

According to the NamUs report cited by TMZ on January 12, 2026, Beal last had contact with loved ones on July 12, 2025. He disappeared from Virginia Beach, Virginia. His GF told officials that she last saw him after he dropped her off at her family’s home. He borrowed her vehicle and said he planned to go to work. Instead, he drove toward Virginia Beach. During their final phone call that day, he said he was heading back home.

Sources allude that the 29-year-old carried only the clothes he wore, a pair of slides, and his wallet, which contained his driver’s license and bank card. The vehicle later turned up in Virginia Beach. Later, family members got Beal’s shoes and socks inside, along with sand on the passenger floor.

Beal, now 29, starred at Western Michigan before the Giants selected him in the 2018 supplemental draft. He started three games as a rookie in 2019. He opted out during the 2020 season and left the league in 2021. He racked up 27 tackles and one pass defended.
