Johnson has also been active in politics. He began as a major donor to the Republican Party, supporting campaigns such as George W. Bush’s presidential run. Over the years, he endorsed figures including John McCain, Mitt Romney, and President Donald Trump.

Unfortunately, the results under Johnson’s ownership have been uneven. Since taking control, the Jets have struggled to find consistent success. The team has not appeared in a Super Bowl during his tenure and has not reached the playoffs since the 2010 season. That year marked the end of a brief high point when the Jets made back-to-back AFC Championship Game appearances, falling short against the Colts and Steelers.

The Jets’ overall record under Johnson reflected years of rebuilding, yet it has led to frustrating results most of the time. This current season is no different, as they are among the bottom of the rankings with a 3-12 record.
