After Week 1’s dramatic turn, the spotlight shifted to finding a replacement for Puka Nacua, who was sidelined with a knee injury and placed on injured reserve. Tyler Johnson quickly rose to the occasion, stepping into a starting role alongside Cooper Kupp and Demarcus Robinson. However, just as the Rams began to adjust, they faced another setback: Kupp is now injured.
With key receivers dropping like flies, the Rams must scramble once again to fill the void and keep their offense on track.

Have the L.A. Rams found the NEXT PUKA NACUA in Jordan Whittington?
As we await details on the extent of Kupp’s ankle injury, the situation doesn’t look promising. He was unable to return for the second half and was later seen in a walking boot following the 41-10 loss.
With Kupp potentially sidelined, the Rams will need someone to step up. Rookie Jordan Whittington could be that player. While both Whittington and Tutu Atwell saw action after Kupp went down, it was Whittington who saw the majority of the snaps.
Pro Football Focus reports that Whittington was on the field for every snap in the second half, totaling 26 snaps for the game. In contrast, Atwell played only 10 snaps and ran three fewer routes (10) compared to Whittington’s (13).
The key distinction between Whittington and Atwell lies in their blocking abilities. Whittington excels as a blocker on running plays, similar to Kupp and Nacua, making him a more versatile option for the Rams. In contrast, Atwell, with his smaller frame, didn't take any snaps as a blocker on Sunday and is mainly used for passing plays.
If Kupp is out for any period, both Whittington and Atwell will likely see increased roles. However, given their skill sets, Whittington is far more likely to remain on the field for a broader range of plays.
As the Rams navigate Kupp's potential absence, Jordan Whittington emerges as a crucial asset. His all-around skills and blocking prowess make him the more reliable option to fill the void, ensuring he could play a significant role in keeping the Rams' offense effective while Kupp is sidelined.
