What’s at stake for the 49ers without Brock Purdy?

NFL players have their own share of struggles. The most heartbreaking one was experienced recently by Brock Purdy. The exceptional quarterback for the San Francisco 49ers had been performing really well in the last few matches. His spectacular performance has impressed his fans, teammates and coaches. But just when things were turning out for him, unfortunately, he sustained an injury. This injury on his shoulder has been so severe that he cannot play for his team. San Francisco 49ers have taken him to an MRI; results are reported to be "good," but no date has been fixed for when he can be able to play again. When in the last match the San Francisco 49ers went against the Green Bay Packers, Purdy did not participate in the game. This is the first match in the 2024 NFL season that Purdy did not play and the absence was immediately noticed. Without him, the 49ers had to look to their backup quarterbacks, with fans holding on to hopes that the offense could work even without its leader.Without Purdy, the San Francisco 49ers found it difficult to play against the Green Bay Packers. The offence looked unbalanced and even if the defense was desperately trying to hold things together, things just didn't fall into place. What instead happened was a heavy loss of 38-10 that made it a record of 5-6 for the 49ers. The backup quarterbacks will then be called into action in the hopes that they could hold it together until Purdy gets back under centre. It's likely that the chances of 49ers seeing their dream for the playoffs lie in the pace at which the starting quarterback recovers to return to action.
