Hill Wants To Focus On Playoff Ambitions After Hinting At A Potential Trade

Luckily for the Dolphins, the Bengals delivered a 30-24 overtime victory, keeping Miami's playoff aspirations alive. Tyreek Hill, the Dolphins' star wide receiver, wasted no time cheering for his team after the match.

Taking to social media, he shared "Let's take care of business guys." Earlier in the day, Hill had openly rooted for Cincinnati and shared the Bengals' signature "#WHODEY" chant in a show of support. The Dolphins have a 28% chance to make the playoffs, according to NFL.com's playoff picture. The DraftKings Sportsbook lists Miami with +600 odds to make the postseason.

Despite being focused on winning, Hill also had an opportunity to reach 11,000 career receiving yards on Sunday. The eight-time Pro Bowler needed 27 yards against the Browns and caught all nine of his targets for 105 yards during Miami’s 20-3 win with the help of backup quarterback Tyler Huntley under center who took the place of injured Tua Tagovailoa.

For the Dolphins to claim the final AFC playoff spot, they must win against the New York Jets. Additionally, they'll need help from other teams. The Broncos must lose to the Kansas City Chiefs. The Indianapolis Colts need to drop at least one of their two remaining games, either against the Giants or the Jaguars.

The Dolphins hit the road again in Week 18 and will face the New York Jets. Miami will be able to pull AFC's final playoff spot with a win over the Jets and a Chiefs win over the Broncos. It’s still unclear whether Miami will have Tagovailoa available, as he was listed as doubtful heading into Sunday and was ruled out due to a hip injury.

Post the team’s win, NFL Networks' Cameron Wolfe wrote, "Dolphins HC Mike McDaniel tells reporters it’s too early to say if Tua Tagovailoa can play Sunday vs. Jets with a hip injury but surgery is not on the table right now."
