Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce. While Taylor did not win in any of the six categories she was nominated for at the Grammy Awards, Kelce’s team Kansas City Chiefs lost the Super Bowl against the Philadelphia Eagles. And while Taylor was present to support Travis at the big game, there was an awkward moment when the crowds booed Taylor. Moreover, US President Donald Trump too took a dig at the Shake It Off singer which left Travis devastated.
Concerned BF Travis Kelce Sad About Taylor Swift Being Booed At Super Bowl
Taylor who appeared on the Superdome's jumbotron, was booed during the game. The singer who was sitting alongside rapper Ice Spice looked visibly surprised at being booed. Meanwhile, President Donald Trump received loud applause when he stood up for the anthem and was shown on the same big screen.
Trump shared videos on the social media platform Truth Social, that showcased the different reactions to him and Swift. “Trump gets massive cheers at the Super Bowl while Taylor Swift gets booed – The world is healing,” the account wrote, which he reposted. “The only one that had a tougher night than the Kansas City Chiefs was Taylor Swift. She got BOOED out of the Stadium. MAGA is very unforgiving!” the President wrote.
“Travis was aware of Taylor getting booed and he felt helpless. Seeing the look on her face got to him,” according to a source close to Kelce. The insider further shared that Kelce always “protects” her and the incident “broke” his heart. “He was already having a tough night and the fact that the stadium was predominantly Eagles fans didn't help. Travis knows that this hurt her and anyone can see this.”
However, Travis managed to impress his fans with his humble and honest response when asked about his team’s loss. The Eagles dominated the Chiefs in a 40-22 victory. Talking to the press after the game from the Chiefs locker room, Kelce said, “You don’t lose like that without everything going bad.” “We haven’t played that bad all year,” Kelce said, later adding that the team “just couldn’t find that spark, couldn’t find that momentum.”
